We welcome RNC delegates and visitors from around the world to Milwaukee County. Note that from approximately Thursday, July 11-Friday July 19, security measures during the RNC will impact bus stops in the downtown area and traffic will impact service systemwide. Transit Plus Fares and Service Area

 

You can go anywhere within Milwaukee County as well as to some areas of Waukesha and Ozaukee counties.

  • Transit Plus operates the same days/hours as MCTS buses. Rides are generally available from 4:30 am to 1:00 am.
  • Cost is $4.00 for each van ride, with the exact amount paid in cash or by using a ticket (For those enrolled in a long-term care program, a higher fare may apply.)
  • You may take another passenger with you for an additional $4.00 each way 
  • Personal Care Attendants ride free
  • Please note that, depending on your destination, the entire cost of a taxi trip may not be covered in full by the $4.00 rider fare

 

Transit Plus Tickets

Transit Plus Tickets can be used to pay for rides on the vans. Transit Plus tickets can be purchased in one of the following ways: 

  • Online with a credit card or debit card by clicking one of the button options below. 
  • Completing and mailing the ticket order form below.
  • By calling the Transit Plus office at (414) 343-1700, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • In-person at the administration office, 1942 N 17th St., Milwaukee WI, 53205, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Transit Plus Van Service Area

To find out if your address is in the Transit Plus van service area, follow these steps:

  • Click on the “View larger map” button Google_fullscreen_icon.png, in the upper right corner of the map.

  • A new window will open, then click on the magnifying glass icon Google_fullscreen_icon.png, in the red box in the upper left corner of the screen.
  • Type the address in the box and hit “enter.”
  • A red dot will appear on the map; you may have to zoom out to be able to see it. The dot must be within the gray area to be served by Transit Plus.
