Note that from approximately Thursday, July 11-Friday July 19, security measures during the RNC will impact bus stops in the downtown area and traffic will impact service systemwide. Paratransit Service for Visitors
 

Visitors to Milwaukee County who are eligible for ADA paratransit service in their home communities; or visitors whose disabilities are apparent; or visitors who do not have paratransit eligibility documentation from their home communities and whose disabilities are not apparent yet can provide other documentation of their disability; may ride with Transit Plus for up to 21 days in a 365-day period.

Visitor Eligibility Process

Transit Plus will accept the ADA paratransit certification of another transit agency if you have been determined eligible in your home community. Be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Dates of your visit
  • Address of where you’ll be staying for the duration of your stay
  • Contact information
  • Current ADA paratransit eligibility certification
    • Contact your home transit agency and ask them to send documents to:

Once granted visitor eligibility status, you will be assigned to a van provider and given contact information to set up rides. Rides must be reserved a day in advance.

The fare for each 1-way van ride is $4 using cash or tickets. You must have exact fare; drivers do not make change.
