Effective Monday, October 20, 2014 due to the closure of 84th Street at I-94, pedestrians can ride an MCTS Route 67 to get across the construction area. Pedestrians will not be required to pay a fare when boarding a Route 67 bus at these two bus stops:
- Northbound at 84th Street & Walker Street
- Southbound at Glenview Avenue and Bluemound Road
However, if a transfer is requested the passenger must pay full fare.
DATE: Monday October 13, 2014
DURATION: 6 Weeks
AFFECTED AREA: 84th Street under I-94
Due to construction on 84th Street under I-94 for the Zoo Interchange Project the Route 67 Via 84th Street trips will detour as follows:
Northbound: West (left) on Schlinger Avenue, north (right) on 92nd Street, east (right) on Bluemound Road, north (left) on Glenview Avenue to regular route.
Southbound: West (right) on Bluemound Road, south (left) on 92nd Street, east (left) on Schlinger Avenue, south (right) on 84th Street to regular route.
Beginning in October, due to work in conjunction with the Zoo Interchange project near the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center (near the area between 85th Street and Innovation Drive), bus stops are expected to move frequently. To assist passengers with locating temporary bus stops as they move to accommodate construction, MCTS will be marking the stops with 10 foot tall feather banners like the one pictured below. During this time, please board stops at these banners.
