Detour Routes 31, 33 & 76 due to the Tosa East Homecoming - September 27 (5 p.m. - 7 p.m.)
September 27 (5 p.m. - 7 p.m.): Routes 31, 33 & 76 will detour off of regular routing in downtown Wauwatosa due to the Tosa East Homecoming.
- Route 31 & 33: Will detour off of State Street between 68th and Harmonee. Buses will use Wisconsin between 68th and Glenview during this time.
- Route 76: Buses will detour off of Milwaukee Ave between 68th and Harwood, off of Harwood between 68th and Wauwatosa Ave between Harwood and North Ave. Buses will use North Ave between 68th and 76th during this time.
Route 33 Routing During Work on the Van Buren Transformation Project
Until further notice: Route 33 is operating as follows during construction work on the Van Buren Transformation Project:
- Eastbound to Downtown: Buses travel via Juneau, Van Buren, State, Astor, and Kilbourn to the layover on Prospect Avenue.
- Westbound to West Allis: After the layover, buses travel via Prospect to State, Van Buren and Juneau to remainder of the route.
Our dispatchers are sending out this information to every Route 33 driver every day for the foreseeable future to eliminate any confusion.
After the Van Buren Transformation Project is completed in late fall, Route 33 buses will then operate as follows:
- Eastbound to Downtown: Buses travel via Juneau, Van Buren, Kilbourn, and Prospect to Wisconsin and layover at Cass Street.
- Westbound to West Allis: After the layover, buses travel via Wisconsin to Van Buren and Juneau to remainder of the route.
MCTS will notify riders when this change will take effect.
