When you become a Mechanic for MCTS, not only will you be joining a great team, you’ll also receive incredible benefits, earn great pay, and start on a promising career path. Mechanics are a crucial part to keeping our wheels turning, maintaining that our buses are safe, reliable, and working properly so that our community can get to the places they need to go.  

Our Class “A” bus mechanics diagnose, repair and service all transit vehicles and perform preventative maintenance within the respective time standards. We look for extensive diesel mechanic experience, excellent safety and attendance history, as well as good judgement and decision-making skills. An ASE certification is a plus, but not required. 

Mechanical entry level positions include: cleaner/tankers, inside washers and garage clerks but no matter where you start in the organization, you have the opportunity to move your career forward.
